/biography & professional experience
Graduated in Design, from 2010 until 2018 Daniela S.F. lived in Venice, Italy. Through her artistic career, she took part of the cultural scene of the Biennale of Art & Architecture and the Film Festival of Venice. During that time, she collaborated in artistic productions and studio management of the most influents international artists.
The Danish Foundation, Danh Vo, Lee Ufan, Paulo Bruscky in collaboration with Nara Roesler Gallery, Fondazione Prada and Electa | Mondadori are some names of her professional experiences.
During these years, Daniela pursued the postgraduate degree in Visual Arts - sculpture at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts, where she also work as a teaching assistant. Equally got selected for the renowned Bevilacqua Foundation’s art residency, which opened the doors to several important exhibitions. Being part of the Venice art scene shaped Daniela’s artistic identity, elevating her artistic value.
In 2018, Daniela returned to Portugal to establish her home/Studio in the South-West coast: Algarve. Since then, LUZALBA has became her main artistic nomination and transformed her career into a more accessible and independent representation. From 2020, LUZALBA®, already a registered trademark, has focused entirely on the sea culture.
The goal was creating an artistic language that could use only the natural local resources. Thanks to that vision, the Fish Prints project was born. Today, Daniela S.F. also known as LUZALBA, works solely on this research, exploring, cataloging and transforming the local resources into unique art prints and design creations.
